Cincinnati Bengals center and team captain Ted Karras is preparing to take part in this weekend’s Flying Pig 5K race.In a statement to WLWT on Wednesday, Karras praised the Cincinnati community and called it an honor to run in this weekend’s race.“The Cincinnati community is incredible, they’ve really rallied behind our Cincy Hat Mission these past few years. When we got the opportunity to team up with The Flying Pig, it was a no-brainer. Getting to run the 5K in honor of the IDD community makes it all even more special,” Karras said.The 5K race will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday on Mehring Way.Additionally, Cincy Hats, a nonprofit founded by Karras, is partnering with the Flying Pig Marathon.Two hats celebrating the Flying Pig Marathon are now available for purchase – a lightweight performance hat and a “rope” hat.The hats are embroidered with pink lettering and feature the Flying Pig logo on the side.
