WEBSTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester area coach has received recognition as one of two coaches named Buffalo Bills Girls Flag Football Coach of the Year.

Webster Schroeder High School’s head coach, Ian Insley, was selected for his work with the team. He caught the attention of the program as they recognized girls flag football coaches for six weeks of the season, taking note of their personal and team accomplishments as part of the Buffalo Bills High School Girls Flag Football Coach of the Week program.

Insley has been coaching for the past three seasons and is also recognized for his leadership in coaching the team to their historic first Class B State Title this year.

Those recognized received a grant of $1,000 in funding. With being named Coach of the Year, Insley will be receiving an additional $1,000 grant for the Webster Schroeder girls flag football team.

He shares the title with Buffalo’s Clarence High School head coach Mark Layer.

Congratulations to Coach Ian Insley and the Webster Schroeder girls flag football team!
