The Arizona Cardinals drafted 12 players in 2024. Some of them had contributions as rookies. Some will have greater roles in 2025. Others will have to battle for the roster.
They selected cornerback Jaden Davis in the seventh round with the 226th overall pick.

Entering Year 2 in the NFL, let’s have a look at his 2025 outlook.
CB Jaden Davis’ 2024 season
Davis didn’t play a down for the Cardinals in 2024 because he spent the entire season on the practice squad.
In the preseason, he played 7 snaps on defense, 57 playing in the slot, and 17 on special teams. He had four tackles and a pass breakup.
He was cut before the season and re-signed to the practice squad, where he stayed all 18 weeks.
Jaden Davis’ Year 2 outlook in 2025
Davis has just as difficult a task for making the roster. The Cardinals’ cornerback room is very deep. Barring an injury or trade, Star Thomas, Mex Melton, Garrett Williams and rookie Will Johnson are a lock for four spots, while 2024 third-round pick Elijah Jones, rookie fifth-round pick Denzel Burke and Kei’Trel Clark, who has been on the roster the last two season, are expected to battle for one or two roster spots. Davis and others will have to somehow find a way to earn a role. He probably will be on the practice squad but as a slot cornerback, he might see action as the backup slot at some point.
