Let’s take a closer look at this Jacksonville Jaguars team as we go player-by-player through the roster. Up next is RB LeQuint Allen.
With offseason programs now behind us, we will be getting a jump start on our training camp preview by going player-by-player through the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 91-man roster.
Going alphabetically, up is rookie running back LeQuint Allen Jr.

2024 Season Review
On the ground or through the air, Allen has been a big part of the Syracuse offense for the last two seasons. In both 2023 and 2024, Allen surpassed 1,000 rushing yards at 4.5 yards per attempt and totaled a combined 25 touchdowns, per PFF.
In the passing game last season, Allen finished the 2024 season with 78 targets. He caught 64 of those passes for 529 yards and four touchdowns.
Allen has experience lining up in the slot, and it’s not as if all of these completions he had were on dump-offs when no one else was open; there were also drawn-up pass-catching opportunities for him.
They said it
Trevor Lawrence: “LeQuint’s been awesome. Pass protection, it seems like he really understands it. Great hands. Hard worker. I’ve been impressed with his attitude and how he carries himself.”
Looking ahead to the 2025 season
With Travis Etienne, Tank Bigsby, and Bhayshul Tuten all on the roster at the running back position, finding playing time might not come easily for Allen. However, where he can potentially carve out a role is in the passing game.
As noted, Allen was very effective in that regard in his college career, and that ability at the running back position is an important one within Liam Coen’s offense. Last season, Tampa Bay running backs Rachaad White and Bucky Irving ranked 9th and 10th, respectively, in receptions among all running backs and totaled over 800 receiving yards between the two of them.
If the Jaguars do go heavy at this position and roster four running backs, that will then mean having to go light elsewhere.
