Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, the two co-hosts of the popular Nightcap podcast and YouTube channel, sound like they are going to put their money where their mouth is.
Sharpe posted a clip of him bench pressing 405 pounds.
Ochocinco scoffed at him and playfully mocked the NFL Hall of Famer, saying that he could do the same.
The two former players are notorious for still being in excellent shape, despite Johnson retiring 12 years ago and Sharpe 22 years ago.
“Look what’s on the bar Ocho,” Sharpe said.
“What is that? Four, five plates? Why you struggling?” Johnson responded.
“You can’t even hold it,” Sharpe fired back.
“That’s three reps of 405. You ain’t ever done 405.”
“Man what are you talking about? You wanna do this?”
The two entertaining hosts, alongside Joe Johnson, bantered over the next couple of minutes before Sharpe suggested a big, and expensive proposition.

A bench press bet.
“We got a salary bet on this bench press,” Sharpe said.
Johnson backtracked a little bit after Sharpe threw that down, suggesting they incorporate a slew of different events.
Track, paintballing, basketball, etc.
Sharpe’s salary with ESPN is reportedly in the ballpark of $6.5 million.
That doesn’t include what he makes with Nightcap and Club Shay Shay, so the “salary bet” could exceed the $6.5 million.

However, Sharpe and ESPN mutually stepped away from one another as he deals with a lawsuit and sexual assault allegations.
Meanwhile, Johnson’s salary is undisclosed.
The two co-hosts were of course messing around, but when it comes to Sharpe and Johnson you can never be too sure.
Especially when both of their egos are challenged.
