Pete Prisco of CBS Sports put together his list of the top 100 NFL players heading into the 2025 NFL season, and included were two members of the Indianapolis Colts’ offense.

Coming in at No. 50 was running back Jonathan Taylor, and at No. 80 was guard Quenton Nelson.

After dealing with injuries in 2022 and 2023, Taylor was mostly healthy last season, appearing in 14 games and back to his highly productive self. Taylor totaled 1,431 rushing yards, which was the fourth-most in the NFL, and did so at 4.7 yards per rush.

While all eyes will be on the Colts‘ quarterback situation, Taylor’s level of success in 2025 will play a key role in determining how good this offense can be. Having a strong run game keeps the offense ahead of the sticks and out of predictable passing situations.

Nelson, meanwhile, made his seventh consecutive Pro Bowl team and was also named a second-team All-Pro–his first All-Pro nod since the 2021 season.

He ranked 15th among all guards in pass-blocking efficiency, and he was fourth in run-blocking grade. According to PFF’s tracking data, Taylor averaged 4.8 yards per rush when running to Nelson’s direct left and 5.3 yards per rush when running to his direct right.

Not included on this list was DeForest Buckner. Last season, by PFF’s metrics, he was one of the more productive defensive tackles in the game, ranking seventh in pass rush win rate, 12th in pass rush productivity, and ninth in run-stop rate.
