The Arizona Cardinals will hold a joint practice in August with the Denver Broncos on Aug. 14. It was announced along with 23 other joint practices around the NFL.
With only three preseason games, joint practices has been the new trend. Teams’ starters can get competitive, controlled reps in practice against another team, getting them the reps they needed before the season without having to play them as much in the preseason. In the controlled settings, it limits injury risk, although it does not eliminate it.
