The Washington Commanders officially kicked off summer vacation with the conclusion of last week’s minicamp. Training camp is the next step in Washington’s preparation for the 2025 NFL season. On Wednesday, the NFL announced the start date for every team’s training camp.
The Commanders’ rookie class is scheduled to report on July 18 at the OrthoVirginia Training Center at Commanders Park. Veterans are due in Ashburn on July 22. Most NFL teams also begin training camp on July 22.
The biggest question facing the Commanders over the next month is whether wide receiver Terry McLaurin will have a new contract or not. McLaurin and Washington were in a similar position three years ago, but the two sides reached a deal around three weeks before camp began. McLaurin has one year remaining on his current deal.
