Only two Steelers made CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco’s NFL Top 100 players list — with T.J. Watt and Cam Heyward serving as the lone representatives of Pittsburgh.
Watt came in as the No. 11 ranked player for 2025, and Prisco argued his placement was justified due to failing to register a sack in the final four Steelers games. He still gave Watt his flowers, however, considering him elite despite his age.

Heyward was ranked No. 34 for his dominant performance last season — and while Prisco acknowledged 2024 was a career year for the veteran Steelers defensive tackle, his placement factored in his age and inevitable decline.
Considering Watt’s struggles in productivity at the end of last season and Heyward’s strong output in 2024 despite being 36 years old, Prisco’s rankings were spot on — but the fact that only two Steelers made the list serves as a reminder of the downward trend Pittsburgh is on.
