There are high expectations surrounding the Houston Texans heading into the 2025 season, where the offense has added a slew of new faces to help take the unit to the next level.
That starts with the subtraction of five-time Pro Bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil, who was shipped off to the Washington Commanders for four future draft picks. In his place, Houston inked Cam Robinson to a one-year deal and drafted Minnesota offensive tackle Tay Ersery in the second round via a trade up.
While C.J. Stroud had an encouraging (but rather underwhelming production-wise) second season, he’s barely tapped into his potential, which new offensive coordinator Nick Caley will look to develop. The Texans have a plethora of weapons on offense, including running backs Joe Mixon and Nick Chubb, wide receivers Nico Collins, Christian Kirk and rookie Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins, as well as tight ends Dalton Schultz and Cade Stover.
Houston also improved its offensive line with Tytus Howard shifting inside to guard and Blake Fisher taking over as the full-time right tackle. Cole Popovich, the Texans’ offensive line coach, also brought in a former Troy standout with Jake Andrews, while veteran lineman Laken Tomlinson hopes to hold down the left guard spot long-term.
ESPN’s Mike Clay recently shared his 2025 projections, including for the Texans offensive skill players. Here’s a look:
