SAN FRANCISCO — A strong start by Gavin Williams went to waste Thursday afternoon at Oracle Park.
Williams threw six scoreless innings, but the Guardians’ offense could produce only one run to support him, as pinch-hitter Wilmer Flores delivered a two-run double in the seventh inning to give the Giants a 2-1 win.
