Linebacker Isaiah Simmons, the newest member of the defense is hoping to make a name for himself as he starts a new journey in Green Bay.
The Green Bay Packers will host 14 open practices during training camp, starting July 23.The annual Family Night practice will be held at Lambeau Field on August 2.A joint practice with the Seattle Seahawks is scheduled for August 21.
GREEN BAY − The Green Bay Packers will have 14 practices in training camp open to the public this year.Â
That’s down from the 16 they had last year.Â
All practices are scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m., though their practice schedule is subject to change. The Packers’ first practice is Wednesday, July 23.Â
The highlights of camp include the annual Family Night practice at Lambeau Field on Saturday, Aug. 2, and a joint practice in Green Bay with the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday, Aug. 21.Â
The Packers start camp with three straight days of practice, from Wednesday, July 23, through Friday July 25. The team’s shareholder meeting will be at 3 p.m. the day of the Friday, July 25, practice.Â
After a day off, the team will return for four practices in the following five days, with practices on Sunday, July 27 and Monday July 28, then a day off, then practices Wednesday July 30, and Thursday, July 31.Â
After a day off, they will hold their Family Night practice at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2.Â
The following week, their three practices open to the public will come on consecutive days, from Tuesday, Aug. 5, through Thursday Aug. 7. The Packers host the New York Jets that week for a preseason game at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9.Â
The following week, the Packers have only one open practice, on Tuesday, Aug. 12. Then on Thursday, Aug. 14, they’ll have a joint practice at Indianapolis. They then play the Colts at noon on Saturday, Aug. 16.Â
In the final week of camp, they’ll have two open practices. The first will be on Tuesday, Aug. 19, and then their final practice of camp will be the joint session with Seattle on Thursday, Aug. 21.Â
