UCLA NFL draft pick Oluwafemi Oladejo has not yet signed his rookie contract. Should UCLA fans and Tennessee Titans fans be concerned? Titans Wire says no.
“Fans should not worry that Oladejo has not signed; the deal is likely to be completed soon. In recent seasons, second-round picks have signed later than most, as the amount of guaranteed money during the final season of the contract has become a sticking point. Currently, 30 of 32 second-round selections remain unsigned across the league.”
Titans Wire also noted that being unsigned “didn’t stop the athletic edge from bringing his high energy to the field for minicamp.”
All in all, Femi Oladejo seems fully invested in being a Tennessee Titan. This is not a protracted dispute, at least not when measured by general NFL standards. There would have to be something much more significant and alarming to begin to view this contractual situation as a genuine problem. Right now, we’re not even close to that level of severity in Nashville.
