Where Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey ends up to start the 2025 NFL season is one of the biggest mysteries this summer. The veteran is widely expected to be traded away, but so far there have been few updates.
Well, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has some answers.

Schefter told The Pat McAfee Show this week that he expects Ramsey to be traded before the start of training camps and that he prefers to go to the West Coast — either the Los Angeles Rams or the Los Angeles Chargers.”
“Jalen Ramsey will get traded,” Schefter said. “It’ll be, I would expect before the start of training camp. We’ll see how it shakes out, where he goes. I think he would like to go to the West Coast. To Los Angeles. Rams, Chargers, something like that.”
The Rams haven’t said much about their purported interest in a reunion, although Ramsey was in L.A. recently to work out with ex-Rams and Chargers safety Eric Weddle.

Ramsey, 30, played four years with the Rams from 2019 to 2022 where he made three Pro Bowls and one All-Pro team. He racked up 242 combined tackles, 10 interceptions and defended 47 passes before L.A. traded him to the Dolphins ahead of the 2023 season.
Bringing Ramsey back could be costly, but he would upgrade a mediocre secondary that returned the entire 2024 lineup that gave up the 26th-most passing yards during that season. But it takes two to tango, and the Rams may not want to pay up to bring back their star cornerback.
