Packers defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt is entering his fourth season in Green Bay after being a first-round pick. He said with the players they have on the team, they can really make their mark this season.
“The sky’s the limit, that’s all I’ll say, Super Bowl,” said Wyatt. “Sky’s the limit for us, cause you got to think we’re all still young… What I’m thinking for this year, what we have, we can make that happen for sure.”

Packers second-year safety, Evan Williams, said the defense has come a long way. He said he believes the team is gaining confidence and practices are becoming more competitive.
“We feel like there’s a whole new level that we can tap into. Truthfully, yeah, we really feel like we’re just on the tip of the iceberg,” he said.
Cornerback Carrington Valentine is hoping to step into a bigger role in his third season. He said the defense is coming together under second-year defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley and is excited about what this team can be.
“The little fine-tune things, the details about the ins and outs of it really is going to help us strive to take that next step of obviously being a top-tier defense,” said Valentine.

Williams said the veterans on this young team have stepped up as leaders to help him and the other first- and second-year players on the team be better in all aspects.
“I give props to the coaching staff and also just the experience in our room helped me a lot last year as far as picking up the playbook,” said Williams. “How to handle yourself as a pro and how to watch film and just those little things that can give you an edge on any given Sunday.”
The Packers open training camp on July 23 to start the season. The internal improvement of some of these young defenders could be the key to how good the Pack will ultimately be this season.
