Michael Irvin gave fans a health update on Deion Sanders after visiting his close friend.

Coach Prime has been fighting an undisclosed illness, with supporters growing concerned about the Dallas Cowboys icon’s condition.

Emotional Michael Irvin reveals all about visiting Deion Sanders in hospital

“Wow, I am truly blessed for the abundance of well wishes, for all the thoughts, and all of the prayers. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU,” Sanders wrote on X.

“I can assure you all that everything is OKAY and will continue to be so. God got me like no other. I have so much more work to do to Glorify God so please believe God got me!

“When we arrive back to Boulder you will be updated on everything. Until then, I’M COMING BABY.”

Fellow Hall of Famer Irvin went to visit his former teammate at home and was left visibly emotional on Instagram.

“Pray for my boy,” he said via Marca. “He’s going to be okay because God has him, but he’s going through something right now. And he needs strength.

“Life comes fast. Peaks and valleys. One minute you’re on top, the next-you’re back in it.”

Irvin shared a further update on YouTube, where he went into more details without giving away any information on Sanders’ specific condition.

“We had so much fun,” he said of the visit. “Whenever I’m with him, we laugh like I don’t know what. I don’t think there’s a person in the world that makes me laugh like Deion.

“When I got to Deion, he was talking like this [hoarse]. This is my boy. I battled with this dude. I know how strong this dude is. I know how he is.

“He’s physically strong, mentally strong, emotionally strong. He’s strong. And we’ve had battles, and I respect him as a giant.

“I’ve never seen Deion not want to battle. I just love that dude, man. I really do. I love him… I guarantee you he’s going to be OK. That’s the most important part.”

Sanders was forced to have two toes amputated and undergo multiple surgeries to fix blood clots in his leg in recent years.

But he claims his current struggles are more significant, explaining that he has lost 14 pounds.

“What I’m dealing with right now is a whole other level,” he told former NFL cornerback Asante Samuel on his Say What Needs To Be Said podcast.

Sanders’ insistence that he will be ready for Colorado football is a huge silver lining.

The Buffaloes begin the 2025 campaign against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on August 29.

As well as his college stars, Deion has two sons trying to follow in his footsteps in the NFL.

Safety Shilo joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent, and quarterback Shedeur infamously fell to the Cleveland Browns in the sixth round.

Shedeur has been impressing in training camp but brought negative headlines off the field after being cited by police for driving 101 mph.

The Cleveland Browns rookie was pulled over by an officer from Ohio’s Strongsville Police Department at 12:24am on Tuesday, June 17, for driving 41 mph over the posted 60 mph speed limit on a suburban interstate.

“I’m just a little boy,” Sanders, who is locked in a four-way quarterback battle with Cleveland, said while appearing at teammate David Njoku’s charity softball game.

“I made some wrong choices, and I’ve got to own up to them. You know, I’ve made some not great choices… I learned. I learned… I learned.”
