FRISCO, Texas (WKBN) – The Dallas Cowboys have officially signed former Cleveland Browns draft pick Perrion Winfrey to a free-agent deal.

The 24-year-old most recently played for the Birmingham Stallions in the United Football League. Winfrey was named to the 2025 All-UFL team after tallying 29 tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack.
Winfrey was originally selected by Cleveland in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of the University of Oklahoma.
He was released by the Browns during the offseason after multiple off-field incidents.
In 2023, Winfrey served a two-game suspension stemming from assault charges that were eventually dropped.
He was also arrested for assault in July of 2023, but was not charged in that incident.
Winfrey was later signed to the New York Jets’ practice squad for the 2024 campaign.
In his two seasons playing in the NFL, Winfrey appeared in 14 games and tallied 25 tackles, a tackle for loss and half a sack to go along with two pass deflections.
