The Miami Dolphins have some trade drama surrounding them ahead of training camp and preseason action. Of course, as most fans know, that drama has to do with star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Over the last couple of months, rumors have been running rampant about Ramsey’s future with the Dolphins. He has been connected to quite a few different teams as possible trade destinations.

Ramsey has been expected to be traded prior to the season. While that is still the expectation, superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill has now spoken out on the matter.

Hill has made it clear that he wants the veteran star back in Miami for the 2025 season.

During Fanatics Fest on Saturday in New York City, Hill spoke out about Ramsey. He claimed that he is going to make sure that the cornerback is back with the Dolphins this season despite all of the trade rumors surrounding him.

“I’m getting Ramsey back in a Dolphins jersey, I don’t care what they say,” Hill said. “He’s a dog. He’s one of the best corners in the league, man. Great leader. Great teammate too, though. That’s what he doesn’t get a lot of credit for, man.”

Miami does need help in the secondary if they trade Ramsey. Should they choose to keep him, he would continue being the No. 1 cornerback.

Last season, Ramsey played in 17 games. He racked up 60 total tackles to go along with a sack, two interceptions, and 11 defended passes.

Those numbers show that the 30-year-old cornerback is still more than capable of playing at an elite level. He may not be the dynamic superstar corner that he once was, but he’s still a piece that can help a team contend.

Even though Hill has made a promise to bring Ramsey back, the Dolphins will have the final say. They wouldn’t be trading him because they don’t think he can help them win. This would be a move about saving money.

One has to question whether trading Ramsey now would drive a wedge between Hill and Miami. That could be a situation to monitor as well.

Expect to hear a lot more about Ramsey in the coming days. At this point, there is no telling what the Dolphins are going to choose to do.
