Detroit Lions new defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard: What to know
The Lions promoted linebackers coach Kelvin Sheppard to defensive coordinator. Sheppard, 37, joined Dan Campbell’s initial Lions staff as outside linebackers coach in 2021 and has overseen the entire unit the past three seasons.
Before the Detroit Lions return to action at Ford Field for the 2025 season, their offseason practices will be available to view in Allen Park.
The Lions released their training camp schedule on Tuesday, June 17, with 10 practices between July 26 and Aug. 21 available for fans to attend. Three practices will be exclusive to Lions Loyal members, while three will feature as joint practices with other NFL teams.
