The New York Jets are talking to two of their cornerstone pieces on their roster about extending their contracts, according to a new report.

That has been anticipated in New York and an update from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says those discussions have begun.

Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner were both selected by New York in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft.

The Jets exercised the fifth-year options for both players in April and the duo are signed through the 2026 season. Regardless, any team would want to ink their star players to longer contracts as soon as possible and the Jets are reportedly looking to do just that.
