🏈 Ryan Edwards of CBS Sports has the Steelers selecting UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava at 16th overall in his way-too-soon 2026 mock draft.
“As of writing this, Pittsburgh has not signed Aaron Rodgers. The quarterback room is Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and Will Howard right now. A year ago, Iamaleava was almost a foregone conclusion to be a part of way-too-early mock drafts. The 2025 season did not go as anyone expected and Iamaleava has since transferred back to the West Coast. As with all of these quarterback prospects, Iamaleava has not played at a No. 16 overall level, but the pieces are there if he can put it all together,” Edwards wrote.
🏈 Derrick Bell of Steelers Now posted a LaNorris Sellers’ mixtape of his sack avoidance and creation capacity in South Carolina’s massive win over Clemson last season. Sellers could be a quarterback on the Steelers’ radar in 2026.

🏈 The New York Giants’ Brian Daboll was reportedly one coach who had negative experience with Shedeur Sanders.
“Shedeur didn’t have a great interview with Brian Daboll in a private visit,” Todd McShay of The Ringer said. “An install package came in. Preparation wasn’t there for it. [He] got called out on it. Didn’t like that. Brian didn’t appreciate him not liking it.”
An unnamed coach even told NFL Media that his interview with Sanders was “the worst formal interview I’ve ever been in in my life.
🏈 Former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel welcomed BYU undrafted defensive lineman Blake Mangelson to the Steelers. Keisel also played at BYU.
“Congratulations Blake! Welcome to Pittsburgh. We have a history of late round, F/A type guys fitting in nicely here,” Keisel wrote on X.
