The Cincinnati Bengals are wasting no time in getting on the undrafted free agent board.

Shortly after the NFL Draft ended, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Bengals had landed Arkansas Razorbacks defensive tackle Eric Gregory.

Pelissero adds that the Bengals gave Gregory a $30,000 bonus.

A 6-foot-3, 313-pound native of Tennessee, Gregory was actually given a Round 7/priority free agent grade by NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein.

Sixth-year senior with adequate length and solid point-of-attack anchor but a lack of playmaking potential. Gregory is known as a doer and not a talker, with his work easy to find on tape. He combines block-eating, two-gapping power and the ability to discard single blocks with upper-body twitch. He lacks lateral quickness to make plays on the move. There is not much to his pass rush, which hinders his draft value. Still, Gregory can play either interior tackle spot and has a chance to become a two-down backup.

There’s your seventh-round draft pick the Bengals missed out on after the Khalil Herbert trade. Gregory should be one of the team’s favorites to go from undrafted to making the Bengals’ 53-man roster after the team did not spend a draft pick on a defensive tackle.

Former Arkansas DT Eric Gregory is signing with the #Bengals on a deal that includes a $30,000 signing bonus, per source.
