If the Indianapolis Colts could go back in time and reselect in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft, who would they pick?
Pro Football Focus recently redrafted the entire first round of the 2013 NFL draft, using hindsight and their grading as their guide.

After an 11-5 record in 2012, the Colts held the 24th overall pick in 2013 and originally used that pick to take Florida State edge rusher Bjoern Werner. But this time, PFF had the Colts taking Oregon State safety Jordan Poyer, who was a seventh-round pick in the actual 2013 draft.
“Poyer earned just one All-Pro nod and one Pro Bowl honor in his career, but his consistency and PFF grades were those of a player worth way more than his seventh-round draft status,” wrote PFF. “He played more than 1,000 snaps in five straight years in Buffalo and recorded a career-high 90.9 PFF coverage grade in 2017.”
With the Miami Dolphins last season, Poyer was still starting in 16 regular-season games. For his career, he’s played in 171 games, which includes 133 starts.
During that span, he has logged 24 interceptions, 57 pass deflections, and nine forced fumbles. As mentioned, he is a one-time Pro Bowler and made an All-Pro team as well in 2021.

Werner, meanwhile, played just three NFL regular seasons with the Colts and in total over his career. He appeared in 38 games, which included 16 starts during that stretch, logging 6.5 sacks, 10 quarterback hits, and 17 tackles for loss.
