Three wide receivers were in the mix with Grenada’s Zayion Cotton, Canton’s Jaydon Cration and Carver, Alabama’s Zion Crumpton. Crumpton flipped his commitment from South Florida to MSU.
Cotton is expected to have the most potential of the trio. During his junior season at Grenada High School, Cotton totaled 48 receptions for 700 yards with six touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the football, the Bulldogs picked up pledges from defensive lineman Davon Young from Theodore (Alabama) High School, cornerback Terrell Johnson from Holmes County, linebacker Caleb Triplett from D’Iberville and defensive lineman Micah Nickerson from South Pike.
