Most recently, Minshew has played in stints for the Las Vegas Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, and Philadelphia Eagles, but he originally began his career in professional football with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who selected him with the No. 178 pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL draft.

As a collegian, Minshew won the 2018 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and was named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year after an exceptional campaign with the Washington State Cougars under legendary head coach Mike Leach.
