Aaron Rodgers on new chapter with Pittsburgh Steelers

Aaron Rodgers met with the media after his first practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers and explained why now was the right time to sign with the team.

Sports Pulse

Aaron Rodgers said Tuesday that 2025 may be his final year in the NFL. If he does hang it up after this season, how much money will he have made over the course of his career?

Rodgers’ career earnings had already reached more than $300 million by the time he left the Green Bay Packers in 2023. His two seasons with the New York Jets moved him within striking distance of reaching $400 million in career earnings. That was enough to push him to the top of Spotrac‘s ranking of all-time career earnings leaders, ahead of Tom Brady.

Thanks to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford’s contract restructure and the relatively diminutive one-year, $13.65 million deal Rodgers signed with Pittsburgh this offseason, Stafford will pass Rodgers after this season. But for now, the 20-year NFL veteran still ranks above every other player in NFL history for money made on the field.

Here’s what to know about Rodgers’ career earnings:
