Herb Hand continues his makeover of the Florida State offensive line corps. Another transfer portal addition has joined the fold (and a former teammate) in the garnet and gold. Welcome to Tallahassee, Josh Raymond!
Raymond is a 6’4”, 298 pound redshirt-freshman originally from Lake Mary, Florida. He was heavily recruited by Hand at UCF before opting for the SEC. Hand reignited that relationship quickly, as he was the first college coach to contact Raymond after he entered the portal. Hand has now beaten his former employer for Raymond.
Raymond spent the 2024 season working on strength and conditioning, part of the same unit as FSU signee Gunnar Hansen. Prior to joining the Vanderbilt Commodores, he was a consensus three-star recruit and played in the 2024 Under Armour All-American game. He also had an offer from the Stanford Cardinal, among others.
The Seminoles are recruiting Raymond as an interior offensive lineman, though he also has experience playing tackle. He has four years of eligibility remaining.
