Braswell was signed to the Jaguars‘ practice squad after being released during roster cutdowns last summer. He was elevated from the practice early on in the year, which included making three appearances on special teams from Weeks 2-4 and two appearances on defense in Weeks 3 and 4.

Lining up in the slot, Braswell allowed four receptions on four targets for 38 yards. On special teams, he played on the kick return and kick return units.

Looking ahead to the 2025 season

With the additions of Jourdan Lewis and Travis Hunter, the Jaguars’ cornerback room has gotten a lot more crowded. Tyson Campbell will be starting at one of the outside positions, Lewis will primarily be in the nickel, and that leaves Jarrian Jones, Hunter, and Montaric Brown competing for playing time opposite of Campbell.

That very well could make up the Jaguars’ cornerback room. However, if they go with six on the 53-man roster, there could be an opportunity for Braswell to make a push. But, if he is going to continue playing primarily out of the slot, those chances may be even more reduced with Lewis, Jones, and safety Caleb Ransaw all able to handle those nickel snaps as well.
