Melanie Collins reminded NFL fans that she’s one of the most versatile reporters in the business.
Collins, a former “SportsNation” host for ESPN, joined CBS Sports in June 2018. She quickly became a key part of the network’s NFL coverage. Barring a surprising change to her role, she’s expected to work alongside Kevin Harlan and Trent Green this upcoming fall.
Even though Collins is known for covering the NFL, she also has experience reporting on the NHL and NBA among other leagues.
“Collins was the face of Yahoo! Sports where her assignments included reporting from all major sporting events across the globe including the Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl, NCAA Football National Championship, Stanley Cup Playoffs, NCAA Basketball Final Four, NFL Draft, NBA Finals, and the World Series,” her bio for CBS states. “Collins was formerly the host of Big Break and Driver vs. Driver on Golf Channel.”
Apparently, Collins is also capable of covering movie premieres.

On Monday night, Collins was in New York City for the premiere of “Jurassic World Rebirth.” She was on the red carpet conducting interviews for Entertainment Tonight.
Collins was interviewing Scarlett Johansson in one of the photos she posted on Instagram.
“Jurassic World Rebirth Premiere Red Carpet with @entertainmenttonight @jurassicworld,” Collins wrote for her caption.
A handful of Collins’ social media followers raved about her outfit for the “Jurassic World Rebirth” premiere.
“So awesome,” one person commented.
“She does it all,” an Instagram user wrote.
“Uhm OKAY slay that red carpet,” another user said.
Collins has time to attend a few more movie premieres before she’s back on the sideline covering the NFL.
CBS has not yet announced Collins’ assignment for Week 1 of the 2025 season.
