PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – A dynamic duo formerly from Oak Grove High School returned home to their roots Tuesday morning.
The Maddox family, led by brothers, A.J. and Andrew, made an $8,000 donation to the Warriors’ football program.
The Brothers Maddox both are expected to donning pads this summer at the University of Mississippi.
A.J. Maddox heads into in his second season as a Rebel quarterback, while younger brother, Andrew Maddox, is preparing for his freshman season on the defensive line.
The brothers helped Oak Grove achieve much success during their Warrior days, including winning a Class 7A state championship.
After everything the Oak Grove program taught them, the brothers said they wanted nothing more than to pay it back.
The donation is earmarked toward the purchase of an equipment trailer that will be used for road games.
