For the better part of the past decade, the New York Giants have had little success. In 2022, when general manager Joe Schoen was hired, he set out to extricate the roster from the salary cap hell it was in.

As a result, the Giants have had one of the more youthful rosters in the NFL for quite some time. However, that trend may be changing a bit as their projected 2025 starters have an average age of 25.78 years old, which is 22nd (11th-oldest) in the NFL

The data was compiled by Sportscasting.

Six of the 10 teams with older projected starters than the Giants are NFC teams, including the Washington Commanders, who have the oldest projected starters in the league.

The painful thing about the list for Giants fans is that the division rival Philadelphia Eagles have the third-youngest projected starters in the league. They have a chance to be dominant for a long time, especially the way their front office handles their roster.

Luckily, for Big Blue, they have youth in some of the more important positions on the roster. Although some of those players don’t fall into the category of starters, the roster has a bright future, including players like Jaxson Dart, Abdul Carter, Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy, Malik Nabers, Tyler Nubin, Dru Phillips, Deonte Banks, and Kayvon Thibodeaux.

They also have arguably their top two trench players, Andrew Thomas and Dexter Lawrence, during the prime of their careers as they are approaching their late 20s.

The Giants have pretty low expectations this year, so there is a potential of another highly talented, top-10 pick coming their way in 2026.

There are plenty of players that fans should be excited about, and many of them are younger than the average age in the NFL. However, the Giants will have to start showing their young talent in combination with the veterans on the team start producing more wins if the current regime is going to make it through next offseason.
