When people talk about the Tennessee Titans, a few things come to mind. These things can range from good to bad and everything in between. This is for good reason. The Titans are a team in transition and are coming off a season that many fans would like to forget.

After an overhaul of the roster under general manager Mike Borgonzi, expectations for the 2025 season are mixed. Some analysts see the Titans as competitive, playing in one of the worst divisions in the NFL, while others are down on the team, thinking they will again be with the bottom feeders in the league.

So, after all of the effort to retool the roster, where are they, and how would you describe the Titans as they head into the future?

FOX Sports reporter Ben Arthur looked at every team in the NFL and came up with one word to describe their offseason. His word for the Titans: “Hopeful.”

Tennessee Titans: Hopeful

With No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward in the picture, Tennessee is banking on the former Miami star to be its franchise quarterback for years to come. That would alter the trajectory of the Titans, who’ve registered three straight losing seasons.

Tennessee made some wholesale changes during the offseason and still have many unanswered questions that need to be addressed before the season starts, but they are on their way to doing so. The addition of key veteran leaders such as Kevin Zeitler, Tyler Lockett, and Xavier Woods cannot be overlooked, both on the field and in the locker room, as the Titans bring along a core of young playmakers who look to change the culture in Nashville.

There is no doubt that the Titans are a team in transition, but there is an air of excitement surrounding them as they prepare for training camp. With a solid mix of veterans and youth, they appear to be in a much better place than they were last year at this point. And that does offer fans some hope.Â
