MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -Former Badger Alec Ingold was back in Madison on Friday to raise money for the Ingold Family Foundation.
The foundation’s mission is “to empower underserved youth through accessible and impactful learning experiences. We focus on financial, mental, and physical health, inspired by the lessons learned in sports.”
Before the event a Nakoma Country Club on Wednesday, Ingold said “Like that phrase of it takes a village. You know, I think my family definitely felt that, you know, whether it’s aunts, uncles, teachers, coaches, the support system is huge. To be able to go chase your dreams, to have the courage to be yourself. So if the foundation can be a piece of that pie, a piece of this community, I think we got to do it.”
The foundation has a particular focus on the adoption and foster care systems, the Foundation helps young people achieve their dreams by providing education, inspiration, support, and access to opportunity.
Ingold is currently a member of the Miami Dolphins and does charity work in South Florida as well as Madison, and his hometown of Green Bay.
