Let’s take a closer look at this Indianapolis Colts team as we go player-by-player through the roster. Up next is WR Ashton Dulin.
With offseason programs now behind us, we will be getting a jump start on our training camp preview by going player-by-player through the Indianapolis Colts’ 91-man roster.
Going alphabetically, up next is wide receiver Ashton Dulin.

As the snap count figures show, Dulin’s role on offense was relatively small. He caught just two passes on the year, although one of them was a 54-yard touchdown against Houston in Week 1. Most of Dulin’s snaps offensively came on running downs where he was used as a blocker and even had a few carries of his own.
Where Dulin’s biggest impact came was on special teams. Dulin contributed to five of the six different phases, which included four kick return attempts, where he averaged 37.0 yards per return. Out of 200 eligible players, Dulin ranked 13th in PFF’s special teams grade.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season
If you’re the Colts, I’m sure the hope is that Dulin’s role on offense reduces and that he doesn’t have to return any kicks. The reason for this isn’t really about Dulin, but rather it’s about the development of AD Mitchell and Anthony Gould.
If these scenarios unfold, it means that Mitchell has found some consistency and taken on a larger role on offense, while on special teams, it means that Gould has secured that return man role.
Even if all that happens, Dulin will still continue to have an important role on special teams, again contributing across multiple phases. If one or both of those things don’t happen, however, Dulin provides the Colts with an experienced option at receiver, who can fill a variety of roles if needed, and he is someone with return experience, who can provide stability to that unit.
