The Minnesota Vikings roster is among the best in the NFL after years of draft selections and free agent signings. Whenever a roster is deep, players with a lot of talent can get buried on the depth chart, or get behind some of the best players at their position.

When that happens, they can be forgotten and become underrated. According to one analyst, the Vikings have one of the most underrated players at a certain position.

Regarding the wide receiver position, the Vikings boast arguably the best player in the league in Justin Jefferson. Having someone with that type of talent can cause others to be overshadowed, which is why Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay listed Jordan Addison as one of the most underrated wide receivers in the NFL. The WR2 of the Vikings has been very productive in his two years and somehow he tends to still fly under the radar.

Kay writes, “Addison started living up to his first-round billing immediately after entering the league, posting a sensational rookie stat line of 70 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns. The wideout helped make up for the extended absence of Justin Jefferson—who missed seven games in 2023—and didn’t miss a beat when star quarterback Kirk Cousins was also lost for the year, finding success with a revolving door of signal-callers that included Nick Mullens, Joshua Dobbs and Jaren Hall.”

Addison, like Jefferson, has produced well with whoever is throwing the ball to him. Whenever that happens, it speaks to the talent that he possesses. In year three, expectations are high once again as folks are waiting for him to fall off, but he has shown no signs of it happening.

With J.J. McCarthy set to take over, Vikings fans hope the best is yet to come from the former Biletnikoff Award winner.
