The Cincinnati Bengals are staying home.
Hamilton County and the team reached a new lease deal on Thursday, June 26, that will keep the Bengals at Paycor Stadium through at least June 2036, with the chance to extend the agreement through June 2046.

“This is a significant day for the Bengals and Hamilton County as we secure the team’s future in Cincinnati,” Bengals Executive Vice President Katie Blackburn said in a statement. “We thank the Hamilton County Commissioners for supporting this agreement to ensure Paycor Stadium remains an excellent venue and a focal point for Cincinnati’s riverfront. We are proud to call Paycor Stadium our home and to keep our future here in Cincinnati, where it belongs.”
Here are the highlights of the deal, as reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer, part of the USA TODAY Network:
A new lease agreement for 11 years, superseding the current lease and beginning for the 2025 season. It also includes options for five two-year extensions at the end of that term.
$470 million worth of stadium improvements, which have been scaled back from the planned $830 million in a memorandum signed in April.
The county’s contribution will be capped at $350 million and the team will pay $120 million. The Bengals will manage renovations with input from the county.
If the Bengals achieve a 24th or better ranking of total NFL revenue in the eighth and ninth years of the lease term, they automatically have to exercise a two-year extension.
The team will pay $1 million per year in rent for the first three years, increasing to $2 million annually by year four.
The Bengals and the county will be responsible for the stadium’s maintenance and operational expenses under terms that mirror the current arrangement. The team is on the hook for game-day costs, while the county will foot the bill for non-game-day expenses.
The county can employ a third-party firm to market the stadium on non-game days.
The Bengals will receive 93% of parking revenue, with the county collecting the rest.
There was a June 30 deadline for the Bengals to extend their current lease. It still requires final approval from Hamilton County commissioners and the team.
Paycor Stadium, formerly known as Paul Brown Stadium, has been the Bengals’ home since 2000.
