Welcome to playing man coverage at home, J.J. Watt.

The former Houston Texans star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year honoree announced this week that he and his wife, Kealia, welcomed a new baby boy on social media Tuesday afternoon, introducing the world to Niko Benjamin Watt.

Niko was born on June 14, a day before Father’s Day.

“Overcome with joy and gratitude,” the couple wrote on social media, along with four photos of the newborn and firstborn son, Koa.

Watt, who played 10 years with the Texans and 12 total years in the NFL, retired following the 2022 season with the Arizona Cardinals. He’s two years away from being eligible to become the second Texans player to make it to the Hall of Fame, joining recently inducted Andre Johnson.

Watt and Kealia Ohai, whose sister Megan is married to former Texans linebacker and Watt’s teammate Brian Cushing, began dating in 2016 while Ohai was a member of the Houston Dash soccer club. Watt, meanwhile, was coming off his second straight NFL Defensive Player of the Year season.

The couple got married in 2020 and had their first child in 2022 while Watt was living out in Phoenix. Both finished their playing careers after Koa was born, though Watt played through the end of the 2022 season with the Cardinals.

Congrats to the Watts and welcome to the world, Niko!
