The Cleveland Browns will open training camp in late July with several questions to answer before the 2025 season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.

It will be a while before we know the definitive answers to those questions, but judging from Pro Football & Sports Network’s latest three-round 2026 Mock Draft from Joe DeLeone, the Browns will still be facing some of the same questions next spring.

Cleveland has two first-round selections in next year’s draft – their own and one from the Jacksonville Jaguars – and DeLeone is not confident in this year’s squad as he has Cleveland selecting Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall selection:
Fernando Mendoza may not be a household name right now, but by the start of the 2026 NFL Draft cycle, he’ll be one of the most highly sought-after prospects. While at Cal in 2024, Mendoza flashed natural playmaking ability and a powerful arm. If the Cleveland Browns are resetting at quarterback, taking a player with tools is the route.
The 6-foot-5 and 225-pound Mendoza will be playing for the Hoosiers after transferring from Cal, where he threw for 3,004 yards, 16 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. He may not be top-of-mind when fans think of the top college quarterback this fall, but if he puts up a big season, he will be getting a lot of attention come the draft.

The Browns come back with the No. 8 overall selection and use it on Penn State defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton:
After picking Mason Graham in the 2025 Draft, the Browns can round out their defensive line with another freakish Big Ten defender. Dani Dennis-Sutton has elite length and intriguing explosiveness to become a quality secondary rusher opposite Myles Garrett.
The 6-foot-5 and 266-pound Dennis-Sutton is returning to Penn State for one more year. He missed part of last season with a lower-body injury but still finished second on the team with 8.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss. Dennis-Sutton had a nice run through the college football playoffs, finishing with 16 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and an interception.
Moving into the second round, the Browns are projected to select Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, and then open the third round by selecting Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston.
The 6-foot-7 and 369-pound Proctor is receiving an incredible amount of early hype, with mock drafts having him as either the No. 1 overall pick (Pro Football Focus), the No. 2 overall pick (ESPN), or the No. 4 overall pick (FOX Sports). The Crimson Tide is expected to have a strong offensive line this fall, and if Proctor has a strong season, it may be hard to see him fall into the second round. (And many fans will lose their minds if general manager Andrew Berry selects another offensive tackle from Alabama.)
When it comes to Washington WR Denzel Boston, you kind of have to up the degree of difficulty on the whole contested catch thing. Because he’s aced the targets that most would consider kung-fu fighting. pic.twitter.com/FWK1Mzicge

The 6-foot-4 and 209-pound Boston had a breakout season in 2024 with 63 receptions for 834 yards and nine touchdowns. If he can build off that with another solid season, then he would be the latest Washington wide receiver to hear his name called on draft day.
