New Team Could Emerge As Kyle Pitts Suitor After Former Falcons Tight End Gets Traded originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Steelers and Dolphins just made a blockbuster trade that includes former Falcons tight end Jonnu Smith, who now reunites with Arthur Smith. The Dolphins now find themselves with no star tight end and looking for a new one to fill in the void.

With Pitts being all over trade rumors, this could open up another trade idea for both teams, and especially with Dolphins being active on the trade market. Pitts has been linked to multiple AFC teams, but for the first time is linked to the Dolphins after an opening in the tight end position.

Smith played for the Falcons in the 2023 season, before heading to Miami where he became a pro bowler for the first time in his career. The Dolphins threw him in along with Ramsey to bring back Fitzpatrick, who started his career in Miami.
Now Mike McDaniel and the Dolphins are looking for a tight end to fill Smith’s spot and will be active in the search until they find one. That is where Pitts comes into play and the Dolphins could end up reaching out to the Falcons for a trade.

The Falcons are looking to make some more moves before the season starts and this could be a big one if something goes down between both teams. Pitts is entering his fifth season and there is still uncertainty on whether or not he will be on the Falcons in 2025.
The trade is a developing story, and a lot can still come out when it comes to Pitts.
