With football just around the corner everyone wants to know what their local teams schedule is going to be. This week we deep dive into the Plainview Bears 2025 schedule. 

The Bears open the season on Thursday, Aug. 21 at home with a jamboree game against the Anniston Bulldogs. The Bulldogs finished the 2024 season 7-6 with a trip to the quarterfinals. 

Plainview will travel in week zero on Aug. 29 to Westminster Christian in Huntsville. Last season the Bears fell to Westminster 37-33. This game should set the tone for the season. The game is also a region game as Plainview plays in a nine team region. 

On Sept. 5 the Bears start a three game home stand when they host the Randolph Riders. The three game of the season will be Homecoming at Plainview when it host the DAR Patriots on Sept 12. 

The Bears step out of region play when the Pisgah Eagles come to Rainsville on Sept. 19.

The Eagles will be lead by Head Coach Adam Gilbert who replaces Luke Pruitt after Pruitt took the job at Boaz back in the spring. 

On Sept. 26 Plainview travels up highway 75 to take on rival Sylvania for another non-region game.

The Bears are looking for their first win over the Rams since 2022. Sylvania also has a new head man, Brad Waldrop who took over after Tanner Nelson stepped down in April. 

Plainview starts the month of October with a trip to Madison County on Oct. 3. The next week the Bears will host the North Jackson Chiefs who where last seasons region champions. Plainview defeated North Jackson last season 33-32 in a back and forth game. 

On Oct. 17 the Bears will travel to New Hope to take on the Indians.

On Oct. 24 Plainview will host Madison Academy. The Bears almost pulled the upset last season and they will look to pick up their first every victory against the Mustangs this season.

Plainview is 0-5-1 all-time against Madison Academy. 

Plainview will wrap up the regular season on the road. The Bears travel to Huntsville Thursday Oct 30 to take on the St. John Paul Falcons at Joe Davis Stadium. 

Plainview finished the 2024 season 5-5 just missing the playoffs. The Bears look to make a return trip to the playoffs for the first time since 2021.Â
