Here are five things to know about the Vikings new receiver:
1. Shined at the Combine …
Felton prepped for the draft by participating at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, where he garnered attention for his drill performances.
In the 40-yard dash, he showed off his speed with a time of 4.37 seconds, which tied for sixth-fastest among receivers this year.
Felton also impressed with a broad jump that measured 10 feet, 10 inches — good enough for fifth best in the position group. His vertical jump of 39.5 inches tied for fourth. It’s clear he sets a high bar for himself (no pun intended), though; Felton later told The Draft Network he didn’t quite hit the benchmarks he’d been aiming for.
“I really wanted to run under 4.35 in the 40 and hit a 40-inch vertical, but I fell just short,” he said. “I was still satisfied with my performance, though.”
