On Murphy, Macdonald said, “He got a hamstring on a double team. Not sure of the severity, so we’ll look at it this week.”

With Murphy and Williams both missing more than half the game, Macdonald was impressed by the way the defensive line held up and played well despite missing two key players.

“It speaks to their depth, resiliency.” Macdonald said. “I thought the front played a tremendous game, all those guys, coaches included, (defensive coordinator Aden Durde) and (outside linebackers coach Chris Partridge) and (defensive line coach Justin) Hinds, I thought they did a great job getting the guys ready to play… That’s the expectation. You just go down the line, the guys who are suited up, that’s how we expect our defense to play.”

The Seahawks came into the game without outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu, who missed a third straight game with a knee injury, as well as starting weakside linebacker Jerome Baker, who left last week’s win over the Patriots with a hamstring injury. On the other side of the ball, running back Kenneth Walker III missed a second straight game with an oblique injury. Walker went through a pregame workout that involved running and cutting, and Macdonald said following Friday’s practice that he is optimistic that Walker can make it back for next week’s game at Detroit.
