BUFFALO, NY — On June 7, the New Hope Knights took the Buffalo Bowl at Highmark Stadium by storm yet again. Having competed in the tournament for the first time last year, the Knights were able to raise $3,500 in order to hit the Buffalo Bills’ home field this year with two competition-ready teams.
The Knights were celebrated at a New Hope Community-wide pep rally. The team left the grounds energized and ready to take on their competition.
On game day, players toured the Buffalo Bills’ locker room and media suite, ran through the tunnel to the sound of cheers, and had the opportunity to warm up together on the field. The day ended in an epic showdown between the Knights’ two teams, with the Black Team edging out the Yellow Team 19-18 in a nail-biting finish.
Attending the Buffalo Bowl was an unforgettable experience, and thanks to the support of our incredible community, twice as many Knights were able to experience the excitement, pride and magic of game day on an NFL field. From practicing weekly (no matter the weather!) to the final whistle, the Knights exemplified team spirit and dedication to a sport they love. Go, Knights!
