To say that the Tennessee Titans are making changes in 2025 would be an understatement. Not only will the on-field team look different after numerous changes, but the organization itself is pushing boundaries as it prepares for the opening of its new stadium in 2026, which will impact NFL history.
No, this impact has nothing to do with a player or a team record; it doesn’t even involve cheerleaders or any of the immediate support staff. No, it involves majorettes, specifically Chloe Holladay, who took to TikTok to announce that she would be joining the Blue Crew as the Titans’ first twirler.
“This is truly a dream come true. Every step, every open door, every challenge, and every blessing from God has led me to this moment,” Holladay said.
While twirlers aren’t entirely new to the NFL, it has been several years since a team’s majorettes performed inside an NFL stadium, with the last being in 2002 by the Detroit Lions.
That previous performance marked the end of a long history that began in 1948, when Robert Olmstead formed the 49ers Majorettes. Now, 23 years later, the baton will be passed from the Lions to the Titans once Holladay takes to the field.
Holladay has always dreamt of being a majorette and performing at a high level. From an early age, her first target was the University of Alabama, where she wanted to become a Crimsonette. Not only did this become a reality as a freshman, but she was also named team captain before her senior year.
After graduating from the University of Alabama with a BSN in nursing in December, she was interviewed by Sports Illustrated. She stated her desire to continue twirling in the NFL as a majorette.
“I’ve always had a dream of, and I would love to be the first NFL majorette,” she told Sports Illustrated. “That has never been a thing before, and so they only have NFL cheerleaders, and I think it would be awesome to be the first ever NFL majorette.”
Dream come true! The Titans Blue Crew took to Instagram to announce her addition to their team on gameday.
