Falcons RB Bijan Robinson tops PFF’s fantasy running back rankings for 2025 season

Regardless of whether or not the Atlanta Falcons make the playoffs this season, their offense has all the pieces to be one of the NFL’s most-explosive units. The team has an elite offensive line, a budding superstar in wide receiver Drake London and arguably the league’s best dual-threat running back in Bijan Robinson.

The former No. 8 overall pick finished third in the NFL with 1,456 rushing yards last season while adding 14 touchdowns. Robinson also continues to be a threat catching the ball out of the backfield. Over his first two seasons, he has racked up 119 catches for 918 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

This dual-threat ability is what makes the former Longhorn fantasy football gold, and Pro Football Focus agrees. Robinson was ranked No. 1 fantasy running back for the 2025 NFL season by Pro Football Focus:

Bijan Robinson was a rare top-10 NFL draft pick at running back, leading to hefty expectations. He began meeting those expectations over the second half of 2024, consistently playing over 70% of the Falcons‘ offensive snaps and running at least 17 times in all but one game. This led to 22.4 fantasy points per game over the last nine weeks. He didn’t see as many 15-plus-yard carries as other great running backs, even though he’s got the talent and speed to have those runs. It’s possible some positive regression could greatly help his fantasy production this season. He lost Drew Dalman at center and still has an elite backup in Tyler Allgeier, so there is also some room to lose fantasy value. — Nathan Jahnke, PFF

The Falcons are counting on Robinson to be the focal point what should be a high-powered offense this season. Second-string Tyler Allgeier his role has drastically decreased since the team drafted Robinson, but he’s still a factor and potential touchdown vulture for Robinson.

In terms of volume, though, there won’t be many running backs featured more than Robinson this season. Establishing the run will also help take pressure off starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr.

If Penix plays at the level we expect, there should be even more running room on the ground for Robinson to work with in 2025.
