The roster construction phase of the NFL offseason for the Jacksonville Jaguars is well behind us at this point. However, throughout the league, free-agent additions will still be made here and there, with training camp on the horizon and even once camps are underway.

So, at this stage of the process, who are the best available free agents that are still out there?

What does the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ salary cap situation look like?

The Jaguars currently have $18.844 million in available salary cap space, according to Over the Cap. Compared to the rest of the NFL, this ranks 20th.

Now, not all of that is spendable, with reserves needed to construct the practice squad, not to mention that teams want cap space available for any in-season spending. Any unused cap space can be rolled over into the 2026 offseason.

But with that said, it’s not as if any free agent signing at this point is going to break the bank. These will be short-term deals with relatively little financial commitment required by teams. So if the Jaguars want to make a move, they have the means to do so.

What positions could the Jaguars still add to?

The roster this offseason under GM James Gladstone has already been heavily reshaped. Between free agency, the NFL draft, and UDFA signings, there are 46 new players on this roster compared to 2024.

So with most positions having already been addressed in some fashion this offseason, there aren’t a lot of positions that jump out as ‘must address.’

But if I were to pick one, the interior defensive line is the first that comes to mind. This is a unit where improved play is very much needed, and outside of some UDFA signings, this is one position that Gladstone didn’t add to all that much this offseason. Instead, he remains very bullish when it comes to the players already on the roster and Anthony Campanile’s scheme being able to elevate this group.
