SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – The Notre Dame football team has landed several highly ranked recruits in recent weeks, and the Irish made a big bang by landing yet another on the Fourth of July.
According to ESPN, four-star wide receiver Kaydon Finley, the son of former NFL player Jermichael Finley, announced his commitment to Notre Dame over Texas.
Finley, who plays for Texas powerhouse Aledo High School, is ESPN’s No. 114 overall prospect in the 2026 class.
The 6-foot-1 pass catcher has hauled in 148 passes for 2,552 yards and 34 touchdowns over three varsity seasons, including 81 receptions for 1,432 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns this past season.
Finley’s commitment continues a red-hot recruiting stretch for Notre Dame, who is ranked in the top five by every service that evaluates recruiting.
The Irish hope to land commitments from a couple more elite receivers over the weekend, as Devin Fitzgerald (son of future NFL Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald) will announce his commitment on Saturday while Brayden Robinson is expected to make his decision on Sunday.
