Patrik: If they make a move to solidify their WR2 position, be it in free agency or via trade, they’ll be in a great spot as far as roster improvement goes. It’s the one position that wasn’t addressed with the 2025 NFL Draft, a draft that, otherwise, the Cowboys knocked out of the park — by most, if not all, accounts. That said, if they plop a proven WR2 into the mix, and can get healthy without too much of the season being compromised — e.g., Trevon Diggs, DeMarvion Overshown — it’s a team that could definitely compete within the NFC East this season. Free agency additions prior to the draft add to my thought process here, such as the reunion with Dante Fowler, so it’s fair to say the roster is a far, far better shape than it was just two months ago.
