Let’s take a closer look at this Jacksonville Jaguars team as we go player-by-player through the roster. Up next is WR Dyami Brown.
With offseason programs now behind us, we will be getting a jump start on our training camp preview by going player-by-player through the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 91-man roster.
Going alphabetically, up is wide receiver Dyami Brown.

Brown’s production up to this point in his career has been modest. The 30 receptions and 308 yards he totaled during the 2024 regular season with Washington were both career highs.
However, Brown put together an impressive postseason run with the Commanders, which included catching 14-of-18 passes over Washington’s three games, and totaling 229 yards at 16.4 yards per catch with one touchdown.
Brown signed a one-year, $10 million deal to join the Jaguars, who view him as an ascending player, especially with in Liam Coen’s offense.
“I think it’s easy to look at Dyami’s career path and trajectory and know that he’s ascending right the way that he closed out last season was nothing short of impressive, and we look for him to carry that into his one-year contract with us,” GM James Gladstone said back in March. “He took a bet on himself that a year from now, given the opportunity that he sees here with the Jacksonville Jaguars, that he’s going to take another step and earn an even larger contract.”
Looking ahead to the 2025 season
Along with Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter, Brown will play a key role at the wide receiver position in the Jaguars’ offense.
What he adds is more speed to the passing game. This will allow him to attack defenses downfield, and the trickle-down effect of that is it will free up Thomas to then attack other levels of the field more often. Having that vertical presence is a must for any offense as it forces defenses to spread out, which can then create opportunities over the middle and underneath for others.
That speed that Brown possesses can also be put to use closer to the line of scrimmage, where designed touches or quick throws that put him in space can allow his YAC ability to take over.
Coen has also been impressed with Brown’s route-running ability this offseason with some of the “daggers and in-cuts” he’s been tasked with.
Brown has also caught the attention of Trevor Lawrence as well.
“Man, I’ve been super impressed with him,” Lawrence said during minicamp. “His speed. Obviously, he is a threat down the field, which is important as a receiver who can stretch the field. But also, he’s a really, really smart football player.
“He’s picked up the system really quickly. He’s always in the right spot. I think that’s something about him, I don’t know if you guys watched plenty of practices, he’s gotten the ball a lot because it seems like he’s always in the right spot.”
