The Los Angeles Chargers hosted wide receiver Willie Snead for a tryout at Day 1 of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, according to multiple reporters in attendance.

Snead is a ten-year veteran, having spent time with the 49ers (2022-23), Panthers (2021), Raiders (2021), Ravens (2018-20) and Saints (2014-17). He also signed with the Dolphins ahead of the 2024 season, but his tenure was short-lived, as he was placed on injured reserve in August and released a few days later.

Snead has played in 103 career games with 48 starts, recording 281 receptions for 3,445 yards (12.3 avg.) and 16 touchdowns.

The Chargers reconstructed the wide receiver position during the offseason with the additions of Mike Williams, Tre Harris and KeAndre Lambert-Smith. But they might not be done adding wideouts after all if Snead impresses. General manager Joe Hortiz is familiar with Snead, as they crossed paths in Baltimore.
